Phase II – Enhancements to the Church

The courtyard outside the main entrance to the church is already a cherished part of our community’s life – at least, when the weather’s nice. It’s a place to “gather and greet” before and after Mass…a place to connect with fellow parishioners, and perhaps even learn about the many service, social and worship activities that make St. Joe’s a truly blessed and vibrant parish.

An enclosed gathering space will greatly enhance that part of parish life—simply because it’s available year-round. The gathering space will improve Sunday liturgies, by providing room for processions to form; it will offer a welcoming and inviting reception area for special liturgical celebrations such as weddings and funerals; and it will enhance the sacredness of our “sacred space,” by allowing the main sanctuary to be reserved for quiet prayer and reflection before and after Mass.

Other important enhancements are contemplated for the church building during Phase II, as well — including:

• Expanded restroom facilities, with handicap accessibility
• Daily Mass chapel/perpetual adoration chapel
• Expanded storage sacristy
• New meeting rooms and improved meeting rooms on lower level
• Elevator and lower-level connection to school building
